Yup you read that right!
According to a new and interesting news, confirmed in Apple's WWDC' 20, Apple is reportedly switching from Intel manufactured processors to their own ARM based chips which Apple calls "Apple Silicone". The biggest problem that Apple faces in this "shift" is that alot of programs are not programmed to directly work with ARM chips and surely there will be stability issues which is huge for a production machine such as the macbook however Apple has said that It had Microsoft and Adobe among other companies updating their software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite) to work with their new chips, tho only time will tell how it's going to be!
What do you think about this? I think Its a really bold change, however Apple are industry leaders so if this works other companies soon might follow!

How many of you are pc gamer? Are you a casual or a pro?!
Well, it doesn't matter because everyone has likely games all over the different platforms due to free-games events: Epic Store, Steam, Origin, GOG, Uplay & ect...
Today I will let you know about a interesting project called GOG Galaxy.
Maybe you already know GOG for their DRM-free games, well they are developing their own launcher!
WAIT A MOMENT! DON'T CLOSE THIS THREAD YET! KEEP READING!
It is not like the other launchers!
GOG Galaxy uses a system of "integrations" that are able to merge the libraries of different platform on a single one!
Right now, for example, I am using the following integrations: Epic Games, Humble Bundle, Steam, Origin, Xbox Live, Uplay and GOG!
The launcher is still under development but it is pretty usable, sometime the integrations became unstable and to fix it you have to disconnect and reconnect it.
If you are interested here the link:
GOG Galaxy 2.0

Hey folks,
For some time its making me wonder about what's best theme type for web platforms, A Responsive Theme or having a seperate theme for Desktop & smaller device each.
Websites like facebook, twitter uses seperate theme for mobile users, While Github on the other hand uses a Responsive theme instead.
So which one really would be best ?
Well currently from developers points for view, I liked the seperate theme option more durable
Here are view of its pros (as I see):
Like in an article, Google has specifically said that responsive design “is Google’s recommended configuration.”
So I guess it would lead to degrade SEO maybe?
Though Google also says: a single URL for the content helps Google’s algorithms assign the indexing properties for the content.
So as long as the website have same link for both themes, we are good for SEO.
These were my thoughts, I also want to know from rest of you about same. And which one you like more and why?
I am still currently thinking about whether this forum should have 2 seperate themes for different devices or have a responsive theme. Hopefully I would able to get into some conclusion after this discussion.
Regards,

- Easy & Faster development: By using 2 seperate themes, it would be easy for developer to manage the themes in more faster way and gives him more freedom while designing it since he won't have to think about both theme's template at same time.
- Load time Decrease: For mobile theme when dev don't want to show few elements, He can simply remove those codes from theme in case of seperate themes. While In responsive themes, Dev really don't have much choice other than Hiding the element via css which still would consume website loading time though it won't be shown. Responsive Themes have this as a major drawback which makes me uncomfortable to work with.

Hello there!
A few hours ago I suggested adding two factor authentication in the shoutbox. So here’s a thread dedicated just for that as instructed by the admins.
The way I would’ve liked this to work is having two options:
1) The usual authentication app/program method (such as google authenticator)... by which the app provides a dynamic 2FA code for you to enter into the forum to fully login after the usual password login.
2) Getting 2FA codes by SMS. This might seem quite unreasonable for many... but it’s honestly the best in my opinion. Why? Well, losing access to your authentication app/program (which can happen in many ways such as accidentally deleting it, or messing up your OS) will lock you out of your account permanently. So using sms as a backup would pretty much save you all of the trouble. And if backup codes are what you think to be the solution... then trust me, it’s super easy to lose access to those too! And in my opinion backup codes are a security risk as they’re fixed, prone to bruteforce-style attacks, and easy to access by any unauthorized personal gaining access to your files.
What my ideas is to have both as an option... not only to provide both options giving users a choice, but also to allow both to be activated at the same time... so you use whichever is most convenient for you when logging in!
Let’s say as an example:
I have both activated. And i login from an iPad and I’m far away from my phone to receive sms... i just use the authentication app. However, if I’m logging in on my phone, using sms is much faster/more convenient. Not to mention that sms is a backup as described above.
And to those wondering why this extra security measure is necessary for such a small forum: bare in mind that our VPSs are on the line here... so the last thing we need is a VPS holder account to be compromised, causing trouble from it, and pretty much losing the VPS. And proving that it wasn’t you using your account would be insanely hard. Obviously strong passwords must be used by everyone... but 2FA will step up the security significantly... which is much needed considering the trouble that would be caused if an account gets compromised.
Would love to hear the staff and community’s feedback on this!

So recently Microsoft has revealed that It has been experimenting with a new technique called "Segment Heap" which has been introduced in the latest Windows update of May 2020. According to Microsoft, this can result in upto 27% reduction in RAM Usage however performance will ofcourse vary from device to device. (Performance improvement should be most notable in low ram equipped machines.)
So how does this help Chrome?
Well, Chrome will ofcourse be able to utilize this technique to improve its performance, however I personally think alot of other browsers that are made on Chromium (Such as Brave) may also make some use from this technique. Microsoft's new Edge browser has already been equipped with this technique.
I think this is very good news for the Chrome users as we all are aware of its famous ram hogging capabilities, and personally this was the reason I switched from Chrome to Firefox.
Let me know what you guys think

Thank you to all the VPS Holders who participated very constructively in the previous announcement about the backlinks requirement:
https://post4vps.com/Thread-Notice-to-VP...quirements
This brought up the anomaly of not having a Website on a VPS and the impracticability of having to create a Web server to add the Website when that is not the objective of requesting the VPS. @Dynamoas now made a change to the requirement for backlinks so that those who do not intend to use the VPS for Website hosting, will no longer need to provide backlinks.
Bottom line: if there's a Website on the VPS then the backlinks requirement applies.
Backlinks will be a requirement when a VPS Holder who applied for the VPS specified in his VPS Request that he is going to use the VPS for hosting a Website. When the VPS Holder specifies he is going to use the VPS for hosting a Website, the Giveaway Manager will then ask him for a domain link. The domain link will then be used to check whether the backlinks have been created.
Should the VPS Holder who hasn't specified a Website in the purpose of the VPS, think of creating a Website later, then the VPS Backlinks Requirement will apply automatically. If you should decide to add a Website later, then please send me a domain link to the page where the backlinks have been created.
Please note that the VPS Plan Requirements have been updated accordingly.
Also note that I will now be checking through the VPS requests of the VPS Holders to see whether they include Websites in their VPS requests. In which case I will be asking the VPS Holder for a domain link.
Logically of course where a signature link is a requirement, there is no exception. You have to include this regardless of hosting a Website.
