I just installed Cyberpanel with my new VPS 13 Singapore location. Everything works very well, but I notice one problem. My IP shows 404 Not Found. This issue didn't appear while I use VestaCP as my panel. I don't know how to configure my IP to show my domain name.

I wanted to put my IP to show my website as if a visitor opens 1.1.1.1, they will see Cloudflare's DNS website. So, I wanted to configure my IP to show my website. How can I do that with Cyberpanel? My Cyberpanel uses OpenLiteSpeed.

I've got a question to the experts here on password detection. We've heard of successful hack-ins in large corporations where passwords have been compromised. So OK let's say they now have a password, would the hackers be able to track all of the accounts that are connected with the password or only the account of the corporation that they hacked into?

CONTABO REVIEW

Background
So in March 2019 while I was still in South Africa I got tempted by Contabo and signed up for the VPS below.  The temptation started at Gigarocket, whose owner went for Contabo in January.  I couldn't believe the fast speed, and the cheap prices, so thought to get the VPS below.

OK if one checks the connection speed of 200 Mbit/s port then possibly it is slower than expected, but still, I think OK relative to the price one pays.  I took the VPS for a year, so the price was reduced - i.e. the installation charges were subtracted.  My average monthly cost worked out just under 6$/month.

Only frustration I had in the beginning is that nowhere in the application did they say a picture ID would be needed, and they only asked me for it AFTER I had signed up and paid for the VPS. Everything after that however worked great.  I feel I have a good VPS here.  Not an earth shattering VPS, but a good one for what I want to do with it.  Which is mostly Websites and blogging.  I think if one should want to use it for a game server, then maybe it will be too slow.  BUT, the guys at Contabo are very approachable, pride themselves in being available 24/7, so maybe one could always do a special deal with them to get a bigger connection speed.

Speed Test
Here is a speed test that I took today.  Not too fantastic, but also not bad either.  Like latency is above average excellent, showing that they're really great with their networking.  It's just the connection speed that is slower, but then that is probably in line with their stated objective of always providing products at discount prices.

Control Panel
The VPS comes with a good Control Panel, not outstanding, but it has everything in it that one needs in one place.  The panel is a Contabo Panel, and fairly user friendly.  It provides all of the controls one needs for the VPS.

Usage
I purchased the VPS mostly because I thought I would get a fast Porche VPS wise.  A VPS 9 but at a Volkswagen price.  Turned out that the connection speed is what makes the VPS that otherwise has such fantastic specs, affordable.  I don't think the speed is slow however, I didn't get what I hoped for though - I thought I was going to get a VPS 9 spec VPS with VPS 9 speed.

I'm using the Contabo VPS mostly for my blogs, and possibly as such this was a little bit of a waste.  However, at least my curiosity about Contabo was satisfied.  I'm almost certain the owner of Gigarocket must have negotiated for a faster connection speed, as Gigarocket speed rocks and Gigarocket is on a Contabo server.  That's how I got interested in Contabo in the first place.

Things to improve
Well obviously the connection speed.  But then the price will probably have to be adjusted and the VPS would be completely unaffordable to me.  The Website is a bit archaic and the fonts maybe too small.  But that's just personal preference.  The Contabo Website is a great Website from an information point of view as it contains every bit of information that is needed to make an informed decision about Contabo before one decides to buy a VPS.  Except of course that a picture ID will be needed at the end of the sale.  

All in all the VPS handled very well.  I found it very responsive and fast.  Worth the price, but probably not really needed.  For those who want to use it as a games server.  I guess their expectation would probably be even bigger than mine was, and they may then be a little more disappointed than I was.  But then again as I suggested earlier on, one can easily negotiate with Contabo for higher connection speed, and it would be interesting if someone from post4vps should try and do that and see what the end result will look like.

I think someone mentioned during our discussion about anti-virus, how those guys who are supposed to protect us can screw us at the same time as well. Since they have such deep access to our Windows, they can do a lot of damage either while they are trying to protect us, or maliciously.

It happened to me tonight.

Tonight was project update all of my blogs - like I have quite a large number of those. Not sure why, but I don't want to get rid of any of them yet. Anyway, one of them had one of my old and regular passwords to get into wp-admin. And I couldn't get in. Then Wordfence sent a notification to my e-mail saying that my password had been compromised, that my account is blocked, and I need to fix my password. So how on earth does a person fix a password, without access to a WordPress blog? WordFence then gave me the option to reset my password, saying it sent it to me by e-mail, and that never arrived (I checked my spam too). Apparently others have been caught this way too, so WordFence had alternative steps, which were to go into cpanel, and disable the WordFence plugin. I did that. And then when I tried to log in, I got the white screen of death. Thanks to WordFence! What kind of protection is this?

In the end I completely removed the WordPress installation and the add on domain, added both back in cpanel, then imported a backup with my all in one plugin, disabled WordFence in the backup just before logging into the imported backup, and finally was able to change the password to a secure password. Why didn't WordFence give me that option right in the beginning?

Guess the silver lining in this is that I now know I have a password problem. If I should come across any of my accounts with that password, I'll need to immediately change it. But it was frustrating to sort out the blog.

Now I have to think of ways to protect my blogs against WordFence. I don't want to let go of WordFence yet, as I do see positives. But I think it is time to find an alternative that is a little less bulky, simpler and lighter. And isn't as clumsy with protection as WordFence has just been. Any one got suggestions for an alternative?

A while ago Jordy made a topic about the new rules in the advertisement section, I see that there are many people who ignore the rules and therefore simply do not respect the rules. My suggestion with this is to set up a Plugin that people who have to get the necessities before they can place something there. Take an example at webhostingtalk.com, you can only post something there after 15 posts and that would be a nice solution here.

I think we should add a section where people can see the top most reputed members of the community. This will allow members to see who is on the top and on what position they are currently on. 
This also creates a sense of willingness in community members to post quality posts and earn reputation, hence a possible chance to increase quality posts. This is because I mainly think that quality posts give up most of the readers a will to rate that user accordingly. 

So after implementation of this feature, there are higher chances that people may start posting quality credits which will ultimately benefit the community.

Looking forward to responses from community members and staff.

UPDATE:-
I have another suggestion. If anyone who gives false reputation(mostly by fake accounts) should be punished and there should be a system where to give reputation, one must have 15+ post count.

My old redmi note 4 is in excelleng condition. It feels as fast and snappy as it was on day one and on a full charge i get anywhere between 4:30 to 9 hours depending my usage pattern (ranging over always online and movies and media consumption to just pdf reading and calls on 2g).

But the sad thing is it has recently begun giving me troubles while charging. I use a good xiaomi charger. Now the set randomly stops charging. Switching off and on the charger won't work. i will have to unplug and plug the usb cable. Also i have checked that the charging amp rate comes down rapidly and eventually within 200mamp. so it is slow as hell. switching off the set while charging doesn't help.

Only thing i can think of now is some kind of cable fault. but what fault ?

i guess i will have to buy a good one and try again.

in the mean time, do you guys have any suggestion ?
